Artwork from the University of Delaware’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program is currently on exhibit at the Lewes Public Library in Lewes, Delaware, through April 17.
The display includes the work of artists from a variety of Lewes-based OLLI classes, and includes paintings, stained glass and mosaic wood art. The exhibit is located in the library’s lobby.
Some of the artwork on display is for sale, with a portion of the proceeds to be donated to the Lewes Public Library.
UD’s OLLI program for ages 50-plus offers courses in all areas of study — all with no grades or exams — with on-site classes held in Wilmington, Newark, Dover, Lewes, Ocean View and online. Approximately 300 classes are offered each fall and spring semester, as well as a one-month session each summer.
The community is also invited to register or learn more about OLLI’s upcoming “UD by the Sea” program, a four-day learning and social event held May 23-26 at the Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center, Rehoboth Beach, Del. Educational program tracks feature guest speakers and subjects like Arts in Delaware; “Dela-Where”: Culture and History; and International Relations.
