The University of Delaware’s Ralph Begleiter, former CNN journalist and retired founding director of UD’s Center for Political Communication, invites participants to the classes he teaches in UD’s program for lifelong learners age 50-plus — the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI).
Begleiter created this video to describe his classes and invite new and returning participants to UD OLLI Online’s upcoming Spring 2021 semester.

Begleiter’s classes include Media and Public Opinion in the 2020 Elections as well as Propaganda and Public Diplomacy. Last fall, more than 300 OLLI students participated in Begleiter’s popular Media and Public Opinion class, with more than 100 also joining the extra discussion sessions, all via Zoom videoconferencing.
More than 200 UD OLLI Online courses are offered this spring in subjects like African American literature, iPhone photography, beginning band, craft circle, languages (American Sign Language, French, German, Italian, Latin, Spanish), investing, quantum physics, Laurel and Hardy, computer coding, gardening, genealogy, railroad history and much more.
OLLI classes focus on learning for fun and enrichment, with no exams or grades. Past OLLI membership is not required to join UD OLLI Online. Both new and returning OLLI participants are invited.
Spring 2021 classes start February 22 and April 5 in 11-week and 5-week formats. Free training and technical support is provided to participants.
