This three-session course will focus on the Japanese practice of “forest bathing” or shinrin-yoku, which has become popular worldwide. Learn how guided walks in a forest can reduce your stress level and enhance your appreciation of nature. Our discussion will be paired with readings from the haiku masters who are well-known for their evocative imagery of the natural world in a 17-syllable poem. The format for the class will be lecture, discussion, and short videos. No book is required.

This offering meets for a total of 3 session(s).
