IA – International Affairs
Wilmington (Arsht Hall) | September 5, 2024-November 19, 2024
Thursday: 9:00 AM-10:15 AM
This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.
Each class features an introduction followed by a video presentation and class discussion. Topics include Middle East realignment, climate technology and competition, science across borders, U.S.-China trade rivalry, NATO’s future, understanding Indonesia, High Seas Treaty, and pandemic preparedness. Purchase of the Great Decision Briefing Book is recommended. This is a hybrid class which will meet for 11 sessions.

DOMBCHIK, STEVEN–B.S., University of Rochester; M.S. and Ph.D., organic chemistry, University of Illinois. Retired DuPont Co. research fellow in new business development. Past OLLI council chair and past president of four nonprofit organizations. Lifelong love of history and current events.
BUTLER, A. HAYS–B.A., J.D., M.L.S. degrees. Practiced law and was associate professor and law librarian at Rutgers Law School.
FAULKNER, CLAUDE–master of science in mechanical engineering, University of Nebraska. Retired after nearly 40 years in DuPont Engineering Research and Development. Career involved everything from troubleshooting plant equipment to development and design of capital equipment. Strong interest in history, religion and politics.
