Media and Public Opinion in the 2024 Election (S283-1)

S – Economics, Finance and Political Science

Lewes (Trinity Faith Education Building) | October 21, 2024-November 18, 2024

Monday: 2:30 PM-3:45 PM

This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

The 2024 election pits two highly unpopular major-party presidential candidates, each older than any in U.S. history. One candidate is running while charged with scores of crimes and on trial for some of them. Students explore the roles during the political season of money, news and social media, advertising, public opinion polling and anti-democracy forces. Note: This class necessarily includes some partisan political content.
