Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge | June 18, 2024-June 18, 2024

Tuesday: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Join a local naturalist on a van tour of Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Learn about refuge history, management actions, and wildlife while on the tour and look for summer birds migrating through the area on the Atlantic Flyway. Back at the new visitor center, hear an engaging presentation about the monarch butterfly, its amazing migration, tagging and other conservation activities helping to preserve their numbers. Feel free to bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from the Refuge.

KAERCHER, DENISE–B.S., M.S., nursing, University of Delaware. Family nurse practitioner from Wilmington University. Nursing positions included assistant professor at Wesley College, nurse practitioner at Dover High School Wellness Center, developmental nurse specialist and critical care nurse. Retired and enjoying it!

BUTLER, MICHELLE–Michelle is on the staff of UD’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program in Wilmington, Del.
