Knitting for Newbies (B302)

B – Fine Arts

This class is for absolute knitting beginners or for those who learned a long time ago and need refreshing. The class will cover knit and purl stitches, casting on and off, basic seaming, weaving in ends, color changes and how to ‘unknit’ to fix errors. Materials needed: 1) super-bulky yarn in a light to medium color 2) one pair size US 13 10″ single point knitting needles 3) yarn/tapestry needle and 4) scissors.

INSTRUCTOR: Randi Cohen

COHEN, RANDI–Retired preschool director from New Jersey, is a lifelong needle craft enthusiast. Since retiring in 2022, she has worked at yarn stores, taught beginning knitting and has taken numerous classes. She feels that knitting is a hobby that’s great for your hands, head and heart.
