Saints And Devils: Devils First! (CA322)

CA – Performing Arts Appreciation

This is a hybrid course. One section meets on site at the location listed; and one section meets online only.

The character of the devil appears and sings in operas from several composers and musical periods and in different languages. This class presents several operas designed to entertain and provide a little education into opera as an art form.

INSTRUCTOR: Robert Violette

VIOLETTE, ROBERT–Has enjoyed a life of singing the leading roles in the operas of Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Strauss and Wagner, as well as some contemporary composers. Each composer taught him how to listen, understand and appreciate their own language.
