OLLI’s 2023 Vikings to Vinland class described six voyages to America by Leif Eriksson and crew from 1003 AD on, as recorded in Norse sagas. Modern research and exploration seeks to locate their landing sites, including the Keelness shipwreck site in Newfoundland. We will examine the sagas, satellite data, drone close-ups and much more, to gain an exciting picture of this history and the research that is uncovering it. Viewing video of original presentation is recommended.
