Weather or Closure Announcements

Weather announcement for Tuesday and Wednesday, February 11-12, 2025

Due to anticipated inclement weather and road conditions expected for Tuesday and Wednesday, February 11-12, the following schedule changes are being made for OLLI programs and locations:

  • Lewes, Ocean View, Wilmington Closing at noon on Tues., February 11, and remaining closed through Wednesday, February 12.
    • Tues., Feb. 11, closing at 12 noon — All in-person and hybrid-online classes that begin after 12 noon are canceled Tuesday, February 11. Tuesday classes scheduled to begin at 9 and 10:45 a.m. will take place as scheduled in Lewes, Ocean View, Newark and Wilmington.
    • Wed., Feb. 12, closed —  all OLLI locations will be closed, and all on-site and hybrid-online classes are canceled.
  • Doverclosed all day Tuesday and Wednesday, February 11-12.
    • All OLLI in-person or hybrid-online classes taking place at OLLI’s Wyoming Church location are canceled.
  • OLLI Online classes will function as normal.
  • OLLI classes or presentations at libraries and other non-OLLI building sites are canceled.
  • Even when the OLLI program is open, members should come to campus only if they personally judge that it is safe to do so.

Weather cancellation policy

General information about OLLI cancellations or closures

When the University of Delaware is officially closed, all activities at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) locations are canceled also.

However, the OLLI program may independently cancel classes or activities, or close locations, even when the University is officially open, depending on circumstances or weather conditions relevant for each OLLI location.

Even when the OLLI program is open, members should come to campus only if they personally judge that it is safe to do so.
